EARLY ARIZONA MINERS

Prospectors, taking advantage of the safety provided by the military's presence in the late 1870s, explored the hills and mountains. A modest gold boom fired imaginations and filled a few pockets, although many believe more money was made manipulating gold shares than digging gold ore.

Gold, Silver and Jasper were mined in the Cave Creek Mining District. Come find out about the life of a miner in Arizona.
